Hi,
I finally managed to install the driver for
my OpticPro4830P, but the scanner is only recognized
by scanimage with sane-1.0.3 and plustek-sane-0_36_38.
With Version 1.0.9 (and
the corresponding module) the driver is installed
correctly, but the scanner is not detected.
But there is also a problem with sane-1.0.3:
"scanimage" does not work. The scanner starts
the scanning process, but when finished a lot of
strange symbols is output in the shell and no image
file is saved. Using xsane, I get the scanner work
properly in the grayscale mode, but not in the
color mode, which make xsane quit spontaneously after
the scanning process finished.
Could anybody help me?
