Hi,

Thanks for the answer.
After I found some tips in
www.gjaeger.de/scanner/howtos/NewbiePlustekHowto/NewbiePlustekHowto.html
I was able to compile without errors (means probably that the new gcc works).
When I tried to use it I got the following message at insmod:

anton:/home/johannes # insmod pt_drv
Using /lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/misc/pt_drv.o
/lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/misc/pt_drv.o: init_module: Success

But lsmod did not show the module loaded. Then I found this in messages:

Nov 24 11:51:24 anton kernel: pt_drv : driver version 0.42-10
Nov 24 11:51:24 anton kernel: pt_drv : no device(s) detected, (-9020)

It seems that the driver can't detect the scanner. It is a Network Scanny
MM100, and it works with primax_scan. Nevertheless I prefer to use it with
sane and hope there is a way to get it working.
