hello,
i have a hp 2200c scanjet scanner and i
use redhat wirh kernel version 2.4.18-19.7.x.
The kernel sees the scanner at usb port and
loads the modules for it. i get errors when
using scanimage.
output to "sane-find-scanner" is:
# No SCSI scanners found. If you expected something different, make sure that
# you have loaded a SCSI driver for your SCSI adapter.
# Also you need support for SCSI Generic (sg) in your operating system.
# If using Linux, try "modprobe sg".
found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0, product=0x0605) at /dev/usb/scanner0
# Your USB scanner was detected. It may or may not be supported by
# SANE. Try scanimage -L and read the backend's manpage.
# Scanners connected to the parallel port or other proprietary ports can't be
# detected by this program.
output to "scanimage" is:
scanimage: open of device plustek:/dev/usb/scanner0 failed: Error during device I/O
and the log message for the error is:
Jan 3 23:43:42 gungor kernel: scanner.c: probe_scanner: User specified USB scanner -- Vendor:Product - 3f0:605
