Ok,
With the knowledge that negative scanning is reasonably sane in the sane
backend, I went ahead without fear of damaging the unit...
Problem 1: There seems to be a warm up period prior to every negative
scan. Only have that the first time on Windoze.
Problem 2: Colors of the negative scan are not too good (I did pick
kodak negative in xsane, which matches the negative). Don't have that
problem on Windoze. Of course, due to problem 1, it is rather lengthy
to engage in a trial and error with the various parameters.
