No, not really....
There are some intermediate versions here! The biggest change was the
introduction of the motor and masteclock divider settings. It might help
to alter theses settings in plustek-devs.c (MODEL_HP) these values
have been adjusted according to the ones I got from the Windoze drivers!
If you check the 0.42, these settings have been done in the
plustek-usbshading.c file in function usb_doCalibration() - check for
MODEL_NOPLUSTEK, then you will find MCLK settings 3 for resolution > 300dpi
and 2 for <= 300dpi (color mode) and 9, 6 for monochrome stuff
you might also tweak the motor-control register settings (reg 0x56 and 0x57) -
compare between 0.42 and the current 0.45...
I guess the cause of your problems is somewhere there.
Another thing might be the calibration area....
