Hi:
I am using Sane 1.07 and the plustek-module-0_41_5.tar, and the scanner
will scan on 100 DPI, Binary mode using xscanimage, or Xsane 0.85...but if
I raise the resolution (say to 200)...it scans past the bottom of the page
and hit the end (causing a grinding noise...I have to remove the power
immmediately).

Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

Thank you.

Yours truly,

Roy Thistle

Hi Roy,

this is a known problem and cannot be solved,
as we have a hardware limitation here...
These old devices are not build for usage in
a multi-processing environment and so will work
more or less okay under Linux. You might try and reduce
your system load while scanning...
