I tried almost everything I can find is there a howto/step-by-step or something? I untared sane then untared plustek into the dir did the configure make make install then cd into backend/plustek_driver configure/make/make install saneimage -L doesnt see it sane-find-scanner found a scanner once but I cant get it to again. I have problems with the make load pt_drv, but I thought that shouldnt matter because it was only for a paralle post scanner. Something Im missing? Kernel version the problem? linux mandrake 8.1 kernel 2.4.8-26mdk --updating to newest later sane 1.0.8 plustek drive 0.42.9

If you use SANE-1.0.8 this should be enough. How does your sane.d/dll.conf looks like, and what about the sane.d/plustek.conf file Enable the debug output of the backend and send it to the list: export SANE_DEBUG_DLL=255 export SANE_DEBUG_PLUSTEK=12 scanimage -L Gerhard ------------------------- gerhard AT gjaeger DOT de
