Hello,

With kernel 2.4.10 from the SuSE 7.3 distribtion the Plustek driver
0_42_9) worked well with my UT12 USB scanner. When I installed kernel
2.4.18, I got several problems:

1. The scanner motor does not stop at the end of the scanner window but
continues soem seconds, which creates a jamming noise.

2. Scanning is very slow. The scanner makes a short pause roughly every
second,

I went back to 2.4.10 and everything works well again.

Regards

Rainer Unseld

Hi Rainer,

the problem is the uhci! I noticed, that either using the module uhci or
usb-uhci causes this trouble, so simply check which one you're using
and then go ahead and use the other one instead...
