I have a Compaz IJ1200 printer and an OpticPro 4830P scanner. Last weekend, I had to recover my hard drive and lost the drivers I had initially downloaded so that I could operate the scanner and printer simultaneously. My operating system is Windows ME. I cannot for the life of me remember what I had to download in order to make this dang thing work.

My printer works perfectly so long as my scanner isn't plugged in and my scanner works just fine so long as I don't want to print (URGH).

Any direction you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Go to http://www.gjaeger.de/scanner/plustek.html and download the appropriate
driver for your version of SANE. Install as per instructions outlined in
INSTALL. If you need further help, come back here with detailed questions /
log excerpts.

Oh, in case you're not running Linux, you're on your own. As the address of
this mailing list ####@####.#### implies, this list deals with
Linux drivers only.
Maybe Plustek or Microsoft are able to help?

Good luck,
Michael

Hi,

I just wondered if anyone is using an OpticPro 4830P under a recent
kernel successfully.

I'm still trying to get my OpticPro 4830P scanner to work.
I once made it using an 2.4.18 kernel an patching the pt_drv a little
here and there but I cannot reproduce these results.

As already mentioned in an earlier mail the scanner tries to scan beyond
the end of the device.
In BW/Gray mode it usually runs twice as far as it actually should. The
resulting images look stretched.
Additionaly, the RGB colors look shifted in color mode.

Anyone still using this model ?

Thanks in advance
