Are there any plans of full supporting this device? Or is the 8bit color scan the maximum? best regards Stephan -- Stephan Litterst email: ####@####.#### mobil: +49 (0)171 930 921 7

The stuff I used: sane-backends-1.0.9.tar.gz xsane-0.89.tar.gz plustek-0.45-TEST3.tar.gz (let me know if you need some additional information...) The good things: sane-find-scanner finds the scanner. scanimage -L works fine. The bad things: When I use scanimage (without the -L option) or xsane the scanner-light goes on and the scanner moves to the startposition (I hope its the startposition...). Thats all. No Scanning. No picture. Nothing. Hmm... When I cancel the scanning the light in the scanner is still on. Any ideas? Best regards and thanks a lot Stephan -- Stephan Litterst email: ####@####.#### mobil: +49 (0)171 930 921 7

Check your plustek.conf file: option warmup should be set and that's why you see the sensor moving back and then waiting for lamp warmup, set this option to 0 and there's no warmup... The light will be switched off when leaving the backend if the option lOffOnEnd is set to 1 Cheers Gerhard
