plustek: Thread: Plustek parallel port scanner not working

I have a Plustek 9636T parallel-port scanner and Linux Mandrake. I have
tried with version 9, 9.1, 9.2 and now 10, and I can't use it. I tried
all the tips I found on the web but I only succeded once to make it work
as root. I know it is something with the configuration of the driver but
Im lost and dont know what to do. Can anyone advise me?

So what exactly did you do and what was the error message?
