plustek: Thread: problem with hotplug usb epson 1250 U photo

Hi,

I try to configure my scanner "Epson 1250 U Photo" with sane-plustek driver but it doesn't work. I have test the scanner with Windows and it works well.                                                          I have take a lot of time to try this configuration, with the help of other users on irc freenode sane, but I don't understand what is wrong in my configuration. I report you parameters of my configuration. I hope that it will give you information of this problem. If you have some time to examine my report, it is a pleasure for me to collect these informations.

Hi,

please enabled the backends debug facility and provide the output, all
other stuff seems to be fine, except probably the access rights of the
scanner device, if this is the problem, you should check scanimage -L
as root user.
Try in each case:
export SANE_DEBUG_PLUSTEK=20 ; scanimage -L

this really looks bad. I've tested also on a kernel 2.6.6 machine, an had no
problems. Do you get a segfault - or can you enable core dumps on that 
machine and try again?

Hi Thomas,

in the meantime, it turned out, that not the plustek backend is the problem.
The epson backend which is probably also active could cause this problem.
Please make sure, that only the plustek backend is active in your dll.conf
file.
