Hi there,
I have I problem with my scanner. It's not the real Colorado Direct 600, but a clone, and I was told by the reseller it's identical to it. In windows98 it's working with the original drivers (VPMXD.VXD v2.30d2 Build 136 date: 17 januari 1998). The FCC ID (EMJFB308C) also tells it's a Primax, but it won't work under Linux (Kernel 2.2.12-20 and libtiff 3.4)). I have tried all your drivers (0.2, 0.91 and 0.92a). My bios is set to EPP1.7Versions 0.91 and 0.92a give the error message: could not identify your scanner. code 44. With version 0.2, primax_scan -lon, indeed the light go on, but if I try to scan, the lamp will move just 1 inch. I have changed some lines into:
static const int x_table_size = 0x13DC;
static const int y_table_size = 0x17BA;
static const int calibration_table_size = 0x3BC4;
suggested by Collin, but even that won't work. I try to scan now, the output file is not a valid tiff. I tried to use the primaxGUI-0.99-8, and the preview is black.
Can you tell me how to configure primax_scan (and what version) to work with my scanner?
Maybe it's usefull that on the same port of the scanner, there is a Canon printer?!
Some specification are:
FCC ID EMJ FB308C
Model: FB601C
Motor: 62003f
Linebuffer: 74HC244
ADC: LM9811
Thanx,
Joshua
