Plustek, Primax...

This scanner is supposed to be compatible with PlusTek OpticsPro 4800P (that's what Primax had told me when I was searching for NT drivers). And there is a SANE driver for PlusTek scanners (http://www.efn.org/~rick/plustek/) based on a code donated by PlusTek. However these drivers are not really perfect (that's what it says on the web page, I haven't tested it yet) as it locks the machine during scanning. Maybe you guys could learn about protocol from PlusTek code and then hack up a new, better driver (hehe, that would really make me glad). I would love to help, but I don't have a clue about C. The driver did not recognize the scanner. Oh, and I guess my scanner doesn't use vmxd.vxd - this file is not mentioned in the registry and it is not on the disk.
