Hello
I think i have a primax colorado direct.
When i start primax_scan092 , it comes the message:
LZW compression no longer supportet due to Unisys patent enforcement.
When i start configure comes the message :Checking for TiffSetField in -ljpeg
... (cached ) no
So i can't work with the GUI-Programm.
What this means?

I think that's becoming an FAQ.
We use the LZW compression algorhythm which isn't supported by newer versions
of the libtiff (mainly on RedHat based distributions).
It's quite simple to solve this problem:
in primax_scan.c search for "COMPRESSION_LZW" and replace it with
"COMPRESSION_NONE".

btw.: do you have a relative in the German Army, in Erfurt? (I know a "Major"
Manthey...) Maybe the Internet is just a village or there are more Mantheys in
Germany than thought... ;-)
