Hello all,

There is now a new version of the driver for D9600 and
others.

Find it at
http://home2.swipnet.se/~w-25069/pxscan.html

Major changes are:

The printer is allowed in after a scan so you don't ahve to
turn
off the power to the scanner...

The resolution can be set in the interval 2 to 300 dpi.

The driver tests on scanner model and ASIC type.

Lots of unused code removed and some comments added.

Thats all folks

Gustaf

Hi,

this is output from pxscan-0.2 workin with my D600/36bit:

[root@tux pxscan-0.2]# ./pxscan -lon
parse_options:
  lamp: on
  dimension: 0x 0 pixel
parse_options: switching lamp
Probing port 0378
    SPP port present
    PS/2 bidirectional port present
EPP 1.9 with hardware direction protocol

ASIC: 08
scanner model reg= 8

:-(
Scanner did not switch to EPP mode.....not compatible?
port_ctrl= C4

Maybe anybody could help me to debug !!!

Thanks

Michael

Your ASIC is not a E1/E3... and so it's not supported by this driver.
have you tried primax-scan 0.93? If both don't work it'd be interesting to
know which ASIC and ADC are in your scanner...
