From: "J. Fernando Moyano" ####@####.#### Date: 27 May 2000 10:11:02 -0000 Message-Id: <00052712042100.00632@txino> I have got a Colorado 1200p scanner. I downloaded the driver from Gustaf Kroling and ... surprise !!! It seem to work.... or no ??? Well .... the driver compiled without problems (a clean compilation) in my Mandrake 7.0. I tried: (as root) ./pxscan It seems to work !!!! The light switch on !!! I tried to scan something .... a photo from my "Marrakech Hollidays" ;-))) ./pxscan -d5x5 -r100 The scanner worked. It made the scan ... or it tried to made it. I got a "test.tiff" file. The size seems OK. I tried: display test.tiff And ... What i got?? A white image (with some irregularities ... but white) I have tried lots of diferent resolutions and dimensions, the p option, the c options, etc... When i tried the -lon and -loff options, i observed that my scanner returns a different id (0x06) to the spected (0x05). I added a line to pxscan.c Conclusions: ************** * The scan proccess stops with big images, and the programa seems to block. * The image i get is flat-white everytime. Thanks !!!! P.S: Gustaf ... can you help me to solve these problems ???? I can patch the driver if i get some information ... but i don't have a second computer to analize the traffic in the parallel port. J. I added a line to pxscan.c strange... I got the 0x05 with mine. May we have the partnumbers of your scanner please? You can also compare them to the partnumbers of the 1200p mentioned in our table on our homepage. -- Christian Ordig | Homepage: http://thor.prohosting.com/~chrordig/ Germany | eMail: Christian Ordig ####@####.#### [Content type application/pgp-signature not shown.
