primax: Thread: Distorted Image with pxscan and Primax Colorado 9600 Direct

Hi, 

I believe my scanner is a Primax Colorado 9600 Direct. Trying to make it
work with the pxscan driver the results were:

1) pxscan can turn the lamp on and off.
2) It finishes scanning but the resulting image has color inversion
(black page, white letters) and is distorted (scratched like \ ) .
3) Sometimes the moving part appears to be jammed and makes an horrible
noise.
4) Sometimes I get the message "timeout bit didn't reset, status=97".

I searched the archive for previous problems and haven't found any
similar.
What's the mater? Is the scanner? Is the driver? Is my terrible
English?;)

The documentation says the model is 36 bit.
