On the frontpage of tnw2000.org it looks like tnw++ is built totaly upon tnw2000, but as I see it tnw++ has its own "base" with it's own event handler and stuff. Why not let tnw2000 handle that part, and make tnw++ just a wrapper? But you can investigate the TNW++ code to see how it is handled there. A tnw2000 function is a good solution, too.
