FWIW...
Whenever you updated kernels (I assume from SuSE itself), did you update
the "lx_suse.rpm" package too? (Apologies if that's too obvious)
I've recently upped to the 2.2.16 from SuSE (I'm using SuSE 6.2), and
because of other problems have had to switch on CONFIG_MODVERSIONS. But I
had no problem recompiling and using the pt_drv module.
