Can change mode of /dev/fb0: chmod og+rw /dev/fb0
Changing owner might work as well.

Subject: Linux example binaries
Greetings,
I've recently made a switch from FreeBSD to Redhat 6.2 on my primary
workstation. I've downloaded the Linux binary examples: microwin and
mterm but when I start them, I get a message like /dev/fb0 cannot be
initialized. I have a /dev/fb0 device in the /dev/directory so what
gives?
Thanks,
FM
