If you are using the framebuffer, then the display resolution is
reported from your kernel.  If you are using the X11 drivers, then you
can
change the settings in the config file.

Are you using true type or fixed fonts?  Of course, true type fonts can
be scaled to any size, but the fixed fonts are set to 1 size only.  Go
through the list of fonts until you find one that you like (I suggest
GR_FONT_GUI_VAR for a good and fairly small font)
