Tim,
You bring up some very good points.
It would be nice to be able to develop for a single platform, but have
different configurations. If we were doing it in X11, we might get away with
fiddling with the resource files to avoid rebuilding the app.
If we were using FLNX, I wonder if we could use the Fluid generated .fl files
the way the libglade guys use the Glade generated XML file as their
GUI definition instead of hard coding it.
This is also the drection that PocketLinux is heading.
It would mean that we have basically the same app on different platforms, but
the resource or other config file chooses a different layout at run time.
I think the UIML type XML definition of GUI things might be too fresh, but the
concepts may be valid.
Has this been asked before?
