Subject: nano-X client/server over network requirements

As once suggested by Greg, using an AF_INET socket instead of an AF_UNIX
one, I have successfully compiled nanoX to work in the X fashion, that
is, a client-server connection over a network.

All worked fine but I experienced some slowness in the communication
over the LAN between a typical client application and the nano-X server.
The speed was anyway acceptable.

Is it reasonable to set up a local client/remote server system (or
vice-versa) over a LAN/WAN (and possibly the Internet) with nano-X? Is
there a minimum bandwidth requirement for the nano-X protocol to work
with a tolerable mean response time (to me, say, at most 1.5-2 secs)?

Thanks in advance,
Gianci
