There's TCP/IP support in my patch at:
http://www.linuxhacker.org/pub/cvs-snapshots/microwin-aph/
I found the mean response time to be a barely detectable fraction of a
second over an unloaded 10Mb LAN. I haven't tried it over the Internet.
The bandwidth usage depended entirely on what was being done at the
time. I have also used it with SSH forwarding which didn't increase the
latency by very much either (and would be very useful if you were to use
it over an insecure network such as the Internet).
