: 3). By exporting the location of gtk/glib-config I was able to build
: GPA (GnuPG Assistant) without any changes to the source and this appeared
: to run happily under NanoX - COOL!!

Very cool indeed. I wonder if we might keep track of a list
of applications that have successfully been ported, vs those that
might need some additions to the GTK+ porting layer.

:
: Who is handling the source for NanoGTK, in order to send in bug fixes?

I'll volunteer for this. I had already made the changes suggested in
order to keep it compiling, and would like to maintain this compile/run
status while I [finally] bring out 0.89pre9, and then 0.89. I've got
loads of changes which I've been working on heavily the past few weeks
for Microwindows, which will be checked into CVS soon.

BTW, the current plan is to release 0.89pre9 with the many patches
that have been received over the last six months, minus alpha blending
and a few others. Afterwards, I will start work on integrating the
NanoGTK work, which possibly involves some API changes, as well
as bringing in alpha blending and better internationalization capabilities. I
haven't applied any patches that change the Nano-X API in pre9,
so all existing applications should still run. There needs some discussion
and contemplation for alpha blending, window properties, and
some other items, perhaps those should hit a 0.90 version.
Perhaps I should write up a roadmap showing the planning issues
we're faced with.

Greg
