These are both documented with the declaration in include/mwtypes.h.

They are used for the PDA and small screen emulation applications.
ws_width is the workspace width, not including taskbar.
vs_width is the virtual width of the application, not using full framebuffer
width.

They are for information only, not used by the server, only PIXIL PDA
applications.
