: I am looking into using Microwindows/Nano-X on a custom Cirrus 7212-based
: board. I downloaded and compiled microwin-0.89pre8 and cross compiled for
: arm linux. However, the demos do not run. They basically just freeze the
: board. My gdbserver is broken otherwise I could have traced into the code.
: However, I did put some printf's in drivers/scr_fb.c in the fbopen function.
: It seems that that function returns ok. More than that I really don't know
: why and where the freeze occurs. I am using a framebuffer based system with
: about 38K of framebuffer ram (using the onboard 28K of SRAM as the
: framebuffer). The LCD is 4bpp 320 by 128 resolution. Can anyone suggest
: any avenues to get microwindows working? I appreciate any and all
: suggestions.
The simplest demo is the linked-together win32 application, bin/mdemo
or bin/mine. Try them directly. If they don't work, try compiling
with NOMOUSE and NOKBD. Make sure you've got an up-to-date
kernel 2.4.x.
Sometimes using static libraries helps, the earlier ARM math lib was
messed up, for instance.
