If it were my project I would use .bdf fonts compiled into nanox/mw.
The linux font editor is easy to use.  Edit the /fonts makefile and .h
fontnames to compile in.
You can also use a ttf to bdf converter but i find the conversion not very
accurate but may give you a starting  point .
