You can find freetype RPM's (both 8xx binary and source RPMs) in  the
add-ons directory of the ELDK FTP servers
(i. e. in ftp://...<eldk>/3.0/ppc-linux-x86/add-ons/)

The RPM "spec" file shows what you can do.
