Greg, what's your opinion about such thing ? In case of such system get
created, the maintainer work will change a bit so it should be better to
have a maintainer opinion also ..

As far as creating such tree, it shouldn't be a problem I think; Alex was
about to create a subversion tree several weeks ago and maybe we could
finally use it for this purpose ... :D
