Hi everybody, I don't know if my first message was correctly received,
as I didn't complete my registration to this mailing list. So here I
come again :-)
We are working with a minimal real-time operating system for embedded
applications (called MaRTE OS), which is POSIX 13 compliant, and it
would be great to add a window environment to our OS. With this OS we
can run static applications (that is, only one application runs at a
time (concurrency of multiple tasks is supported, though), and all
resources are created at boot time) The number of resources is
configurable when you build the application (on a host running Linux).
The application runs on a target with an x86 architecture. The OS has no
filesystem support, that is, we only work with the RAM. Besides, it is
not possible to use the ROM BIOS routines, as we can't change to
real-mode operation by now. We haven't any mouse drivers, but we have a
keyboard driver. The OS supports C and Ada95 applications.
So far, we have adapted the SVGALib for our OS. It works just fine and
the next step would be a window environment. Do you think it would be
possible to use Nano-X? Which changes in the three-layer model should be
done? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,

Ángel
