The best way imho is to patch flnx to be able to handle UTF-8. The first you must patch the string drawing, that's quite easy (just change the encoding). The bigger work is to patch the widgets you need, e.g. the word wrap in Fl_Input. Next thing is to include the right charsets in nano-X and of course set them up in flnx.
That's a few days of work, I know. But that's a usable way...
