hello,

since there are a few embedded coders on that list
i am trying to get an answer for an off-topic question
trough this list.

i have USB running on embedded, and i am seeing
the conncected printers with the 'lsusb' tool.
even the usblp.ko module loads and there is a
response of ejecting empty sheets when sending
windows printer files to /dev/usblp0 (char, 180:0).
but now got stuck with that topic.

i dont want a monster like cups on that device
nor do i want to add a stack of vendor supplied
drivers or add on modules (like HP provides).
what else can i to to simply print a few lines
of text (or grafics, like screenshots) on the
most genreal USB printers? is there somtehing
like a light-wight cups for embedded? any hints?

-Alex.
