Hi Marc,

Thanks for the reply. I do appear to be finding the cannon library okay 
-see below, but no scanners are being identified as SANE supported, 
although sane-find-scanner does see the scanner.

Anyone suggest any else to try and provide more debug on the CanoScan 
N1220U ?

Should I be concerned about the line:-

Does this indicate some older revision of sane being used ?
