Hello to all primax testers, owners, coders, and others (like me :+).
In these days, I get in my work a scanner, to repair it (i'm work
with a
computers parts reseller), a Genius ColorPage Life-Pro, and, of course,
I
repaired it, but the scanner was, in a beggining, send back because my
company never sold it... well, it is now in my hands...
Now I want to use it under the great Linux. Looking, Watching,
Searching
the Internet for those drivers, I learn that scanner was made by Umax
(it
has a Umax chin inside, and when I asked the Genius guys for some
specs,
them say the same thing), and it have the same
decoder/driver/somestrangechip
that the primax have (looking in the source code of the primax_scan.c
file),
the LM9811CCV, but I can't get it to work...
There is something I get when I try to see whathehell is doing the
scanner/driver/parport/epp/etc. The file I have attached is a ... "dump
:+)
of the things I have did. Both in debug level 8 and 16 (the -v16 files
are
about 5mb, look the compression... :+).
If someone known if the wakeup is wrong for the genius scanners, or
if the
Shuttle EP1284-01 (another significant chip inside) is really a
EPP-to-SCSI
ASIC, or something, then tell me I was in the wrong way, or if someone
get
any Genius flatbed scanner of the ColorPage series to work, please tell
me
how did it.
