Well... I'd say it'd be better to go for a Umax driver... the LM9811 is simply
the ADC, but to give any commands to the ADC you have to pass the central ASIC.
As this thing is made by Umax in your scanner your chances will be much higher to
make it scan something when trying the Umax drivers available.

hmmm... EPP-to-SCSI ... why?

Well, the only known ColorPage scanner by Genius, which is known to work with the driver is 
the Genius Colopage Vivid+ ...

btw. I've looked thru the attached files (these which I was able to unpack;-) and saw that your
scanner wasn't recognized by the driver... That's an hint for another ASIC used...
