Hi all,
I have seen on freshmeat today an announcement from another group
developing a driver for the Artec AS6E parallel port. However something
quite interesting is the docs which were provided to them ( check tham
out
at : http://as6edriver.sourceforge.net/hacking.html ).

Why will primax not make docs like this available ?
Surely they should understand that if their competitors scanners are
supported better under linux than the primax scanners then they will
loose
customers. Or if they are going to move completely to USB interfaces
then the release of the docs for the parallel interface should not be
a problem.

On a slightly different note : does anyone know how to catch the fact
that
the scanner button has been pressed ?
