Oops, I misread it as 0x10000 when it actually says 10000 (decimal), and
also incorrectly says 65532 in the comment.

Surely they should be fixed to do so though?

An invalid image should never cause the loader to crash- if it does,
that's a bug in the image loader's error handling code which needs to be
fixed. If it isn't, it's only a matter of time before malicious
individuals start creating web pages with invalid images on them for the
sole purpose of crashing (or worse) machines which use Nano-X.
