Surely they should be fixed to do so though?

An invalid image should never cause the loader to crash- if it does,
that's a bug in the image loader's error handling code which needs to be
fixed. If it isn't, it's only a matter of time before malicious
individuals start creating web pages with invalid images on them for the
sole purpose of crashing (or worse) machines which use Nano-X.
