Sorry, what does that mean? Could you please be more detailed in the symptoms
and possibly support your description with an "strace" of the run (possibly
offlist if long)?

Since with -D it doesn't demonize, you must add an "&" at the end in
order to run it in the background. I don't if this is the problem, though.

Not at all, but knowing more information may be useful:

	- what is the target platform and the host platform (uname -a) ?
	- what version is gpm on both platforms (gpm -v) ?
	- what are the exact symptoms of "non-working", with and w/o "-D" ?
