The two main choices are the C++ based FLTK port (flnx) or the C based
TinyWidgets. FLTK is more mature and advanced, as well as also having X11
and Win32 ports, but AFAIK it doesn't have any kind of C bindings.
TinyWidgets will (IMHO) need a lot of work to get it up to the level where
it can really be used to build a desktop environment around, but I think
it has plenty of potential and is probably better suited for very low end
systems than FLTK.
