I thought I may as well mention another possibility for the record, which is the wxWindows 'Universal' port, an extensive set of widgets that should work on most platforms. I've done about 80% of a 'wxWindows for MicroWindows' port of this (WIN32 API only). The thing that's holding it back is the lack of wxImage support under MicroWindows, which could probably be rectified quite easily by someone with the relevant knowledge. The widgets use XPM images quite extensively.

See:

http://www.wxwindows.org/wxuniv.htm
ftp://www.remstar.com/pub/wxwin/binary/univ/wxmicrowin01.jpg

and also latest CVS source which as of a few days ago compiles the minimal sample in wxMicroWindows mode (uses some of the wxWindows for Windows port + the Universal widgets).

Since wxMicroWindows is currently a WIN32 API port, this limits its usefulness in a multiple-app environment, but the generic widgets are also applicable to an X-based port, which could steal quite a lot of code from the wxWindows for Motif port.

Regards,

Julian
