Hi peoples..
I've recently purchased a scanner. A Mustek Bearpaw 1200CU.
Looking quickly through the archives there doesn't seem to be anything about
this particular scanner, except somebody wanting to purchase one.
The scanner has a device ID of 0x5d8 or 0x05d8, I'm not sure if they're the
same...
And a product ID of 0x4002.
I can't get scanner.o to recognise the scanner. I've tried modprobe with the
options "vendor=0x5d8 product=0x4002" and "vendor=0x05d8 product=0x4002".
I've also tried just plain insmoding it.
The scanner always shows up as not being used by any driver..
Also, each time I run sane-find-scanner it increments the number of "uses" of
scanner.o. There seems to be no way to bring this down to zero again, so I
cannot rmmod scanner and have to reboot to change the options.
Any help with this will be much appreciated.
Thanks
